Will Talking Type work on my Mac?
Talking Type is built for macOS 26 or later. The current version supports English dictation.
How do I turn my voice into text?
Choose a shortcut key in Settings and place your cursor where you want to write. Hold the key, speak, then release it to insert your words. During setup, allow Microphone and Speech Recognition access for dictation, and Accessibility access to insert text into other apps.
Can I dictate without an internet connection?
Yes. Talking Type uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition, so dictation works offline. Your words are processed on your Mac without a cloud service or an API key.
What happens to my voice and transcript history?
Your voice recordings aren’t saved. Transcript history stays on your Mac, and you decide how much to keep. You can turn history off or clear it in Settings.
Is ₹399 a one-time payment or a subscription?
₹399 is the one-time lifetime launch price for Talking Type. You get the current offline features and future offline additions, with no monthly or yearly subscription.
